IKKO super yacht concept
Year 2001
Unveil Monaco Yacht Show
A new breed of superyacht – Applied intelligent technology for exclusive mobility.
Shaped around the interface between man, machine and the environment, IKKO defines a new approach to exclusive yachting by introducing 125 meters of leanness and unprecedented experience onboard.
Designed as an oasis to stimulate all senses, her innovative architecture offers a new level of harmony with the landscape: 360° breath-taking sight lines of her upper deck including a side transparent floor coupled with a 180° panorama on the main deck and a sprawling forward outdoor entertainment space.
Her patented Pentamaran hull – developed by BMT Nigel Gee – stabilised by two pairs of outriggers achieves new standards of hydrodynamics to reduce energy consumption and provide excellent seakeeping comfort. Spray on solar-power cells from the exterior faceted surfaces supply energy, amongst others, to Domotics: a cutting edge computing network manages interior-wide automation and communication for appliances and equipment, distributed and remote control of domestic tasks from inside out, enabling more intimacy thanks to a reduction of the crew number. With the poise of a sword hovering above the sea level, IKKO is tailored for people who aspire to new values, a smart management of resources and who are ready to take ownership of a ground-breaking adaptive machine, fit for a 21st century nomadic lifestyle.
